What Is Actually in Blue Sky Glow

NAC is the least familiar name here, so it comes first. The other three are names you may know from the side of a vitamin bottle. How people feel varies.

NAC (N-acetylcysteine)
N-acetylcysteine is an amino acid the body uses to make glutathione, an antioxidant it produces for itself. NAC is a modified form of cysteine, an amino acid that also comes from protein foods such as poultry, eggs and yogurt.
B-vitamin complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6)
Thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid and pyridoxine, as supplement labels often call them. They share a role in normal energy-yielding metabolism. On top of that, B6 plays a role in the body's normal production of cysteine, an amino acid.
Vitamin B12 (hydroxocobalamin)
Hydroxocobalamin is one of the natural forms of vitamin B12, and the body converts it into the forms it puts to work. B12 plays a role in normal energy-yielding metabolism and in the normal formation of red blood cells. B-Lean carries its B12 as methylcobalamin instead.
Magnesium
Magnesium is the one mineral on the ingredient list. Pumpkin seeds, almonds, spinach and black beans are everyday sources, and magnesium plays a role in normal protein synthesis, normal muscle function and the normal working of the nervous system.

How Your Blue Sky Glow Visit Works

Step 01

The Hours Before You Head Out

Pick the open afternoon and say where you will be getting dressed: your home, a hotel suite, a friend's place or the office before an evening event.

Step 02

The Screening Has the Final Say

No IV goes in before your individual health screening, which settles whether Blue Sky Glow is appropriate for you today. A visit may be declined based on it. Where applicable law requires it, services are provided under physician supervision.

Step 03

Packed Up Before You Get Dressed

Your Wellness Angel remains with you until the bag has run through. Then they remove the IV, pack the kit and leave, and the rest of the afternoon is yours.

Who Books Blue Sky Glow?

People with a big night on the calendar who would rather spend the afternoon on the couch than in the car.

Black Tie Downtown, a Room Booked Upstairs

The fundraiser starts at seven in a ballroom downtown, and the room you booked upstairs has turned into a dressing room with a skyline. A Wellness Angel comes up in the afternoon, sets up Blue Sky Glow by the window, and has everything packed and gone before cocktail hour.

An Anniversary Dinner Booked Months Ago

The reservation took three tries to land, the sitter is confirmed, and you have taken the afternoon off to do this properly. The visit is booked for after lunch, and Blue Sky Glow runs while you sit on the sofa and change your mind about the shoes, twice.

The Understudy Who Just Got the Part

The lead is out, the part is yours, and the show opens on Friday. Rehearsals have taken every evening this week, so the afternoon before curtain is the only quiet stretch left. Blue Sky Glow goes up on its stand in your apartment, and you can go over your lines one more time while the drip finishes.

Settled Before Sunset

Is NAC the same thing as glutathione?

No, though they are related. NAC is one of the building blocks the body draws on to make glutathione, an antioxidant made in the body. Glutathione itself comes in Snow Bright and Blue Sky Tri-Shield, and you can also ask for it as an add-on. Add-ons and their prices are on the IV menu.

Which other drips share ingredients with Blue Sky Glow?

None has the NAC: on our menu it is in Blue Sky Glow alone. Alleviate also carries vitamin B12 as hydroxocobalamin. Magnesium is in Alleviate, Debloat and Blue Sky OG, and in every drip with the mineral blend. The B-vitamin complex is shared with many drips across the menu.

Do I need an event on the calendar to book Blue Sky Glow?

No. The evenings on this page are examples, not a requirement. Blue Sky Glow comes to a home, an office or a hotel anywhere in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, with or without plans for later.

Is the health screening just a formality?

No. Your individual health screening is the step that decides whether Blue Sky Glow is appropriate for you, and a visit may be declined based on it. Blue Sky IV provides scheduled, non-emergency wellness services and is not a substitute for emergency or primary medical care. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911.

Can the friends I'm going out with book at the same time?

Yes. Each guest is screened individually before their drip goes in. Planning something bigger? See our Groups & Events page.
