What Is Actually in Snow Bright

Glutathione and alpha-lipoic acid are antioxidants: substances that react with free radicals, the unstable molecules the body produces during normal metabolism. Vitamin C, the third ingredient, plays a part in that work too. How people feel varies.

Vitamin C
In the body, vitamin C plays a role in the protection of cells from oxidative stress and in normal energy-yielding metabolism. Heat and air break it down easily, so it is one of the more fragile vitamins.
Glutathione
Glutathione is one of the most plentiful antioxidants inside the body's own cells, which make it continuously. It plays a part in the normal handling of oxidative stress.
Alpha-Lipoic Acid
Alpha-lipoic acid, sometimes called thioctic acid, is an antioxidant. Inside cells it plays a part in the chemistry that releases energy from food. Peas, tomatoes and Brussels sprouts contain small amounts.

How Your Snow Bright Visit Works

Step 01

Name the Day and the Warm Room

Give us the day and the address, then choose the warmest room in the place. That room is where your Wellness Angel sets up.

Step 02

First, an Individual Health Screening

Your Wellness Angel sits down with you for an individual health screening first. It decides whether Snow Bright is appropriate for you today, and a visit may be declined based on it.

Step 03

Stay on the Couch Until It Finishes

Pull a blanket over your knees and find the remote. Your Wellness Angel stays in the room until the drip runs out, then packs everything up while you stay put.

Who Books Snow Bright?

Chicago winter people, from December's full calendar to the weekend back from the ski hill.

The December Calendar with No Blank Squares

The office party is Tuesday, the cookie swap is Thursday and the school concert is Friday. Saturday afternoon is the only open stretch, and you are not spending it in traffic. A Wellness Angel sets up Snow Bright on the couch, between the cards still to write and the gifts still to wrap.

A January Weekend Away Without Leaving Town

A downtown hotel for the weekend, booked so January would feel like a trip without anyone going near an airport. The evenings are for restaurants, and the afternoons belong to the room with the view. A Wellness Angel brings Snow Bright up to the suite, and the coats stay in the closet until dinner.

The Parking Space with a Chair in It

Last night's snow took an hour of shoveling to clear from around the car, and a kitchen chair is now holding the space. Driving anywhere today would mean giving it up, so the car stays and so do you. A Wellness Angel comes to your door with Snow Bright, and the chair keeps its post outside.

Back From a Ski Weekend Up North

Two days on the slopes, then a long, slow crawl back down the tollway on Sunday. You kept Monday off for exactly this. A Wellness Angel brings Snow Bright to the house while the skis dry out in the front hallway.

Cleared Up While It Snows

Is Snow Bright only for winter?

No. Snow Bright is on the menu all year, and it costs the same $299 in July as it does in January. Nothing in the bag changes with the season: it is always vitamin C, glutathione and alpha-lipoic acid.

What happens before the IV goes in?

Your Wellness Angel starts with an individual health screening, and the IV goes in only after it. Services are provided under physician supervision where required by applicable law. Blue Sky IV provides scheduled, non-emergency wellness services. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911.

Does Snow Bright take add-ons?

Yes. Several from our add-on list can go into the bag, for example Zinc Sulfate, Vita Complex or Amino Blend. Add-ons and their prices are on the IV menu, and your individual health screening decides which, if any, are appropriate for you that day.

Can I book Snow Bright for everyone staying over?

Yes. Everyone has an individual health screening of their own first, and it decides for each guest. Guests staying the weekend fall under Retreats and Getaways on our Groups & Events page.
